Do you need a filter system?

If you are drawing water from a lake, pond, river, or canal, you can expect an invasion of zebra mussels. Our filter systems protect homes and businesses from such invasions. Our Model 5000 filter is the simplest and most economical method of keeping zebra mussels from blocking your water supply. The filter attaches to your current water intake line and is cost-effective and environmentally safe.

Patented Filter Technology

Our water filtration systems have patented technology for preventing zebra mussel infestations from decreasing water flow in your intake lines. We've owned two United States patents since 1996 and one Canadian patent since 1999. Thousands of our systems have been installed for happy customers.

Why Use Our Filter Systems?

Our filter systems have 3 lines of defense, the simplest and most efficient way to protect your water system from zebra mussel contamination. The result is total protection and much cleaner water.

1

A layer of metallic fabric wards off adult zebra mussels, eliminating their invasion of the filter's water intake line.

2

Another layer of metallic fabric inside the filter unit eliminates eggs and veligers (hatched eggs) that may pass through the intake line.

3

Our 20-micron filter stops eggs, veligers, food, algae, and silt larger than 20 microns from entering your water system.

Affected Areas

If your water is located in an affected area in the United States or Canada and supplied from a lake, river, canal, or pond, you need one of our zebra mussel filter systems. Check your location on the map from the National Atlas of the United States.

Worry-Free Protection

Knowing that zebra mussel eggs and veligers cannot penetrate any material 40 microns thick or less, we use 20-micron filter material to ensure even greater protection against invasion. These filters have 200 square feet of surface area, which provides a water supply of up to 140 gallons per minute. Our filter units are installed on the end of your current water line, and our research has confirmed the protection of an adequate water supply for more than 2 years after installation.
